The drama deals with one of Life's hefty moral dilemmas. It handles the material sensitively, thoughtfully and intelligently as well as explores what unconditional love between two friends looks like. I always enjoy watching shows like this because I come away with strategies on how to handle difficult circumstances should I find myself in a similar situation. For me, the moral of this drama is that each person is responsible for his or her own happiness while they walk on Earth and that happiness comes wrapped in different shapes and sizes for each individual. So whether or not person one approves of person two's decision does not mean that person two's decision is wrong.

SPOILER ALERT... do not read any further if you wish to avoid spoilers.

The drama revolves around the best-friend friendship of two male 20/21 year olds -- Frame and Earth -- and the same-sex relationship between Earth and Non. Non is 22 years older than Earth. Frame learns an uncomfortable truth regarding Non's background and, from that moment on, Frame is torn between doing what he believes is right for his best friend Earth and knowing that if he exposes the truth he will potentially be wrecking happy lives. Frames wrestles with the notion that once words like this truth are spoken, the hurt and damage can be far reaching. For this reason, Frame is cautious.

It is a fact of life that people do things of which others may or may not approve. The question is, though, Does our 'not approving' of these things mean that those involved have to live their lives according to our wishes? This drama explores the point of view that individuals have the right to make their own decisions whether or not they are good or bad decisions.

In many ways, I saw this presentation through the lens of a gay guy coming out to his family. His family may want life to be completely different for their son but if his parents truly believe in unconditional love, they will accept their son without any drama or fuss. Such an unspoken belief is also something with which Frame wrestles. If his friendship with Earth is truly based on unconditional love, he will simply state his views and leave Earth’s life-choices to Earth without judging him.

I encourage everyone to watch this drama and pay attention to the comments that Frame makes on his Instagram documentary. They are thought-provoking and there are valuable lessons to be learnt.

Code Blue is an underrated Jdrama that deserves more attention. Why? This is one of the rare dramas that combine both medical aspects and reality together in a way that leaves you feeling as if you were a part of the medical team as well.

Story: This drama is all about medicine and the situations hospitals and staff face, and although this drama is not one that leaves you on the edge of your seat with the end of each episode, the story is paced well that makes you intrigued; wondering the possibilities that lie with every new episode and what new challenges are faced. The reality aspect I found in this drama was the fact that the challenges each individual and team faced are easily understood by the audience as we are easily able to sympathize with them.

Acting: The acting was beautifully done- although you could tell that just some actors/actresses may not be the best; their characters mature and grow more in-depth that will make you sympathize and feel as if you knew them personally.

Music: The music was skillfully picked- although the tracks were limited to a certain number of songs, it was appropriate and it sounded amazing. Downloaded several of the tracks myself.

Rewatch: I would definitely rewatch both seasons, as I truly enjoyed this drama, as it is one of the rare dramas that focuses only on the medical aspect, staying true to the end.

*Genres: Medical: 100% heavily focused on; medical dramas lovers approved.
Romance: Unless you squint very hard and tilt your head a bit, perhaps you may be able to see some romance developing, however instead of the lover romance; I found that family romance in the individual stories of the patients and actors were slightly more prominent.

Conclusion? Give this series a try- it would be worth it as it is only 11 episodes for each season- therefore it doesn't drag on at all and you won't feel as if you wasted your time!

way to freedom

this is not your normal rom-com, normal country side drama, this is a drama which will make you happy, giggle, cry and make you rethink about life.
I like how to story tell about each day of the workers and the hard work they do to live.

Things I learned from the characters
ML - always help people and be grateful
FL - even at worst never turn bad, how to pull up your self back up after a tragedy
mr.Ma - there is no age to peruse what you really want to become
mr.Hu - you should always follow your dreams
kids - how to be united and always help the elders
this drama I a gem pure gem.
the best part of this drama is that all the age groups are considered and shown

loved this dramas want part2 so bad.

Alas! More than a decent drama

I can't find any glaring flaw in this drama. The storyline is really good and the script is pretty well written and its meaty. The two young leads may not be brilliant but their performance has been better than I expected! The rest of the characters plays just a s big a apart with their own stories, Love CSS parents, and the grandmother, her uncles and brothers and BFF. They are just Stella ensemble giving the drama far wider scope and more inclusive in every way.. As far as Part 1 goes, I am more than happy!!! Let's hope the Part 2 will be even better. PI am looking forward to a brilliant ending!!

KelpiView : Angsty love at its best.

Overall Impression:
I had to stop for a while to ponder on the words that I might use to describe my overall impression of Love Mechanics, but in my totally unbiased opinion, I have settled for a few words. Awesome. Perfectly paced. well casted. Enough romantic and comedic scenes to go around. Adequate amount of skin. In my totally biased opinion, it is nothing short of a masterpiece.

What i liked about it:
Awesome cast!
The cast has done an awesome job of bringing the characters to life. Main leads, Yin and War, was perfect for their role. Other notable cast members that has left a good impression on me was Ormsin (Yiwaa), Got (Bar), Bonz (Yoo). Pharoah (Tee), Saran (Lee). Apart from good acting, the production team's choice of actors/actresses are well placed as well. Usually when a series's character get complimented that he/she looks like their mum/dad.. I would often give a slow chuckle and roll my eyes because they look nothing alike. BUT! this series, for the choice for Mark's mum.. it was funny how i feel that both of them has a similar smile / facial structure. They did not even need to go on the "you look like your mother" route for me to take notice.

Not to slow, nor too fast!
The pacing of the whole series was done well. it wasnt too hasty at the end nor was it too slow to watch. there's something in almost every episode. be it either a major issue or some character development. I guess this is as far as it can get from a slow romance. lol. i appreciate the pacing that kept me wanting more. Honestly even though i have watched the first tester series (En of love : Love Mechanics), meaning i know most of the plot already. But with the little addition and changes feels refreshing and it was like a totally new series to me.

Great flow in terms of storytelling!
Part of a good show is not only the cast members, but also how the story is told, how it unfolds and how it would be perceived. In terms of storytelling, Love Mechanic has a top spot in my rankings. Story climaxes are dealt with resolution as it comes one after another. In turn, i would need to credit the production team for their good choices in terms of cuts and placements. it was totally coherent and made the story more impactful than it already is.

What i disliked about it:
Inadequate side couple moments.
Ok, this may be just a personal preference, but i wished the side couples are shown a lil bit more than what is was shown. I know the story centers around VeeMark, but having a lil more side couple moments would make my heart fuller than it already is. GunBar could use a few more scenes. oh! i liked that fact that they showed tidbits of their upcoming shows namely Future (AnaFuse) as well as Call my name (YooKamphan) which i wish was also teased a lil bit more, but i shall wait patiently for the release of respective shows. though, my side couple syndrome aches. like a lot. lol.

Did i enjoy it?:
From the way i was gushing over the show up above, yes. I think i enjoyed the show a lot. a time well spent.

Would i recommend it to others?:
If angsty love is your favourite trope, then definitely give this a try. you will definitely fall in l ove with Yin and War for their character portrayal. That being said, I do think the show might not be for everyone, due to its angst. Yes, there are sweet moments in the show, but the most impactful scenes are the angsty ones lol. But give it a try if you have not, you might find yourself liking it more than you should. maybe. i guess.. hopefully. do what you want LOL. :shrugs:

STORY: This writing for this series was all over the place; it was sci-fi, dark, fantasy, romantic comedy, and more. What the synopsis didn't make clear is that Adam loves Ah-Zhai who loves Pei Ni (Penny) who loves Adam. There's a lot of humor and awkward situations because of this love triangle.

ACTING/CAST: Bai Shu (Ah-Zhai) is a very good actor, very expressive. Cai Wen Jing (Pei Ni) is a very good actress; she played multiple, and very different, personalities.

MUSIC: I liked both the opening and closing songs of this show.

REWATCH VALUE: I didn't have much of a reason to revisit Season 1 but Season 2 is so much better.

OVERALL: Read my spoiler in the comments section if you want my opinion about the BL in this show.

"I am part of that power which eternally wills evil and eternally works good." 'Faust'-Goethe

To watch Snow Girl and the Dark Crystal it would help to have a working knowledge of the Chinese legend of Zhong Kui. Which I didn't. And this movie tended to enter facts not in evidence which could make a confusing viewing for a novice. In the end it didn't matter too much because the storyline was thin. Very thin.

First off, I'll drop two things on the table about me and this movie. First, I am a Chen Kun fan and watched this mainly for him. Second, the CGI in this movie was terrible, slow, shoddy, cheap video game quality for the most part. And there was a lot of it, overwhelming any story the writers might have wanted to tell. As much as I love Chen Kun, even he couldn't save this movie from the weight of the CGI department.

Every thousand years demons can reincarnate into a human, god, or back to a demon depending on their moral checklist hidden within the Dark Crystal, which can also hold the 7 spirits of people. Chen as Zhong Kui steals the Dark Crystal for Zhang Daoxian (Winston Chao), a low level god tasked with keeping the realms from erupting into chaos. With his magic bat fan Zhong can turn into an enormous demon with the power to vanquish other demons. After the theft of the Dark Crystal, several female demons come calling to try and steal it back. Low and behold one of the them is Snow Girl (the gorgeous Li Bing Bing), Zhong's old lover. This causes a crisis for both of them which is further complicated when Zhong learns more of his origin story. Something I've learned from watching Cdramas, not all demons are bad and not everyone from the heavenly realm is good. The social hierarchy and ambitions therein exist in all the realms.

This could have been a beautiful, tragic love story. Unlike many Chinese movies, this one had the steamiest scenes I've seen, which could be attributed more to the chemistry between Chen and Li than any skinship. The filmmakers instead over-relied on flashbacks and their CGI creations to carry the movie which resulted in an emotionless, colorful mess. Chen, Li, and Chao did their best with the limitations constricting them. Most of the secondary characters were largely forgettable.

Even with the bad CGI, if the filmmakers had trusted their stars and developed their characters better this could have been a far more entertaining and moving film.

Realistic night time hospital experience

A very good story. At times, one wonders where this drama is leading to . In its gentle pace manner, it has everything that a night time emergency doctor has to face and deal with. Haru was excellent in leading this bunch of young doctors, each with their own issue. There was no single dull episode. Apart from caring for their emergency patients received during the night shift, they had to defend their reputations as a team of highly trained professionals dedicated to their chosen career. The pain was laid bare when they had to take abuses from their daytime colleagues as their efforts were often taken as granted. The team spirit between them was tremendous and was infectious. One must watch it to the end to appreciate what the whole story is all about. Veteran senior doctor Sawamura was excellent as the team director with a hidden agenda. I like his drama a lot. The original soundtrack is very good and memorable. I will rewatch it again in the future.

Thriller

I watch a lot of BL and this has been on my list for a long time(like before the new season started) and I finally completed it. I knew it wasn't going to be BL but I wanted to watch it because Gun is in it(buckle up for his role). Needless to say with or without BL/Bromance I was on the edge of my seat from ep1. I love psychological thrillers so this was right up my alley. Like a beast mode roller coaster, there were twists at every turn. If you get bored easy like me, I think you'll be safe to watch this without problems. Acting was on point and the music kept you in the mood with the dark twisted theme. The love hate relationships with the characters kept my emotions going crazy. I can't wait to see how intense S2 is...

Surprisingly Captivating

So I'd like to say first that I haven't read or seen any of the novels or other adaptations of the story so I had nothing to compare it to. This is also my first Chinese "BL" to watch. At first I was hesitant to watch them due to the censorship BL is subject to but I'm glad I gave this one a try. Okay it's not exactly BL but well, we all know those boys were loving.

Summary:
Okay, so it's not got the sort of blantant smuttiness of Thai BL (or even the muted smuttiness of SK or JPN ones) so if that's your bag you might not enjoy this. That being said, I started watching this not realising it was a 'bromance' and after several episodes I found out it was but I was still really captivated by the story and actors and continued watching and I'm glad I did. There was enough subtle suggestions of a deeper relationship for me to find it enjoyable as a BL.

Pros:
The acting is great. SuYu and Wu Bi are captivating in their own contrasting ways, Su Yu's dad is just precious and lovely, and depicts the poor but loving father figure so well. And Duo is absolutely hilarious and adorable at the same time.

The story development. I enjoyed the journey Wu Bi and Su Yu were on, watching them go from enemies to...'brotherly love'.

Wu Bi's fight scenes. I thought this was cool! It was like some proper action scene fighting. Okay, maybe it's not totally believable that this lovely twink can beat the crap out of hardened thugs and bodyguards but I was TOTALLY here for it anyway.

Production. All of the production seemed really top class.

So we know that BL has censorship issues in China but what I liked is that a more intimate relationship was suggested the whole way through but in subtle ways. It's hard to read some of it in any way but a romantic relationship between two guys. They just didn't explicitly show it. I was actually expecting them to really push that they were 'just brothers' and I feel that actually it was really suggested that they were NOT 'just brothers'. That tube in the bed wasn't lip balm and we all know it.

All the food. God it all looked so good.

Cons:
Though I had no real issue with his acting, I did find Wu Bi's cousin character tiresome and who could take his villany seriously with that hilarious ponytail thing he had going on. I know he's meant to be a bad guy and you're not meant to like him but I found him more annoying than villainous. The girl going after Su Yu had a more interesting 'bad guy' concept than he did. She was a SNAKE.

The music. While at the start, I found the songs endearing, after hearing them at least once in nearly every episode I found them a bit grating.

The ending seemed a bit sudden though I understand there's a season 2 so I'm guessing we know what happened in that last episode but if I hadn't gone looking, I wouldn't have known. I'm not a huge fan of open-ended things. I like closure and very clear outcomes.

"I saw the thing that is the farthest away from me...... It's you"

This is a MASTERPIECE, and I haven't seen stuff much better! In fact, it's now my all-time favorite TV Series of all time!

It's intelligent, emotional and a very colorful journey and character exploration with the past, present and future blended in a mind-blowing mystery that's thrilling from the first to it's last moment in it's runtime.

The romance is the all-important part of the story, it's mature, mellow and bright and funny at other times, the music is AMAZINGGG, the song "Last Dance" along the glitch, the disturbance effect used at specific scenes brings chills, joy and anxiousness at the same time whenever you hear, and the OP Theme Song hits soo much harder in the latter episodes, especially the lines "Impossible to stay away.... "

Slow, warm, fluffy burn packed in 20 minutes. Everything I've seen from Strongberry was amazing, and this was no exception. I loved the cast, the acting and the plot. Although it's a 20 minutes long movie, the story wasn't rushed at all. The ending was happy. I strongly encourage people to buy the movie from the official links, as it helps Strongberry make more great movies. <3
Cast:
Really handsome guys, acting felt natural and not awkward at all
Music:
Nothing that stands out too much, but nonetheless very fitting
Rewatch:
Sure, I really liked the movie, and its a great "palate cleanser" after some heavier dramas. It makes you warm and fuzzy ^^

"Reality continues after miracles"

Dr. Storks S2 continued the stories of the doctors in the OB/Gyn and NICU departments at Persona Hospital. Miraculous stories of new life and stories of heartrending losses were shared. This time around there was also focus on the reality that faced many of the new mothers before and after the miracle of birth.

Dr. Konotori Sakura with his cheerful and uplifting personality still seeks to give mothers and their babies the best chance at success. Dr. Shinomiya Haruki is there to balance our Sakura’s optimism with a strong dose of if not pessimism, a harsher view of reality. Imahashi Takayuki remains the rock of labor and delivery as the head of the department and NICU. Komatsu Rumiko, the midwife, helps keep everyone grounded and focused on the mothers’ experiences and needs. The team confronts all sorts of crises for mothers and babies alike. There would also be movement in and out of the department as people seek to broaden their educations or return from other experiences.

For my review of S1 I lamented the lack of women doctors. The OB/Gyn profession is dominated by women in my country and around half of the neonatal docs are female as well. Then I read this, “In 2018, Tokyo Medical University admitted to manipulating women applicants’ entrance exam scores for years to restrict the number of female doctors, in part because they were performing better than male applicants.” * The previous statement helped explain the dearth of women in the profession. It might also explain why the women were either portrayed as overly emotional or with almost no emotion and why one of the doctors was worried if she became pregnant she couldn’t continue to work as a physician. With all the public service announcements they had in the drama, it would have been nice to have shown competent and emotionally stable women physicians. Also, NICU nurses are the unsung heroes in that department and they were an almost invisible presence in the drama with the doctors doing all the work. Rant over.

I did like the holistic approach they had toward prenatal care and labor. The support a couple with a stillborn child had from the staff was particularly moving. The midwife, Komatsu, pushed the need for more maternal services before and after the birth. This season brought up the demand for support for postpartum depression, birth defects, and multiple miscarriages. Another topic of interest presented remote places with limited medical facilities. Women carried a great burden along with their babies if doctors were too far away. Without babies, remote places’ futures came into question.

If S1 was about the miracle of life and birth, S2 dealt with the reality of life of not only birth, but after the baby was taken home. Much emphasis was also put on teamwork both with the doctors and patients. Doctors and new parents need emotional support and also support in order to become better at what they do. While I enjoyed S2, I didn’t find it as compelling as S1.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
