This movie is hilarious! Still thinking about it makes me laugh. Kim Ha Neul is comedic gold as always. I'm not really a fan of Kang Dong Won's acting so I didn't really liked him in this movie. He also didnt have any chemistry with Ha Neul which really ruined the romance portion of the movie. But still, watch for the laughs=D

I've never been happier while giving a perfect 10 in every field to a show or a movie. This movie is heartbreakingly beautiful. I'm still embarrassingly wiping my tears as I come to terms with the fact that the movie is really over.

Reading the synopsis, it felt like a slightly above average interesting adaptation of the same old love triangle. I wish I could travel back in time to two hours ago and smack my younger-self for thinking such a thing about this movie. I've never seen a more breathtaking execution of a veteran plot. The characters of the story were hauntingly realistic and believable. Love makes you do things you wouldn't normally do, we see the characters go through that very naturally.

When you watch this movie, you'll find yourself understanding the mind of an assassin who loves an innocent girl; you'll find yourself aching for the girl who's lost her voice and the man she loves; you'll find yourself wanting to believe there's got to be some good in the world. The story makes a warm spot in your heart and you find yourself so engrossed in it that you forget you're just a spectator. This is the sort of magic that made me love Korean cinema in the first place.

I cannot even begin to describe how awed I am by the performances in this movie. I've only seen Jung Woo Sung in A Moment To Remember before and I'd thought he was amazing, after watching this movie, I take it back. He not just amazing, he's absolutely brilliant. Jeon Ji Hyun doesn't cease to impress me. This is the 3rd work I've seen of hers and all have been great. Every body on the cast did such a spectacular job, definitely worth commending.

What do I say about the music of the film - it's stunning. The incorporation of Classical music into the movie was a touch of perfection to the masterpiece. I enjoy listening to Classical (I'm not into the technical aspect just the vibe and effect that the music has on me) and it was really nice to see the music being used so amazingly. It felt like the soul of the movie, when there weren't dialogues to convey the emotions, the music did the work. Perfect harmony.

If my ratings and the praises above aren't enough of an evident as to how much I loved this movie, then I don't know how else I should convince you to stop thinking and just watch the movie already. I am 100% sure that the moment you see the beautiful scenery and hear the lovely song playing in the background in the first few seconds of the film, you'll be hooked in and that hook is going to be painful to take out by the time the credits start to roll.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Don't hesitate one bit.

[I lost the whole review (the biggest one I had ever written) so I had to write it all over again. I’m not salty AT ALL. Okay, let’s do this.]

I waited all these months to watch this!!! I’m a huge TayNew fan and I had already watched Sotus and started My Tee (I dropped it because it was too confusing though) but I didn’t want to watch it without knowing what the whole PickRome fuss was about. I finally watched Puppy Love earlier this week and I immediately started Our Skyy. I was so surprised by this show and I didn’t think I would love it as much as I did. The only thing I didn’t really notice was the music, for the most part, so I wasn’t sure how to rate it.
Now I’ll review each episode individually and then do an overall rating!

Pickrome
I was not expecting the episode to be this creative! And sooo funny! Wow, such an amazing start. I wonder how the others are going to surpass this one. I was glad I had watched Puppy Love because I went into this episode knowing their dynamic and personalities. I must say they are amazing actors. They really are. Off acting as Rome and Gun as Pick was EVERYTHING. And it was so so so so sweet. I was glad we got this sneak peek into their lives. And hopefully they’ll keep growing together and will understand each other better with time. The chemistry between them is simply amazing. Hopefully they’ll get to act together again in the future! And taynew hdjddicxixjs I screamed when we heard their voices!
Oh well, the plot, the acting, the feels. Everything was there. 9.5/10 for me.

InSun
This was the only couple out of the 5 that I didn’t really know so I didn’t feel nostalgic while watching the episode. It was really sweet and all that jazz but it didn’t make my heart race. But they do have good chemistry and for that I will rate this episode 7.5/10.

TeeMork
Okay, these two. I’m just SPEECHLESS with what I just watched. Honestly, I was not expecting to love this as much as I did. I liked Drake and Frank but My Tee’s plot was so weird that I had to drop it after episode 6. Now I’m thinking of giving it another chance because of how great this was!!! Their chemistry is soooooooooooo good. They are pretty good actors and you can see they’re very comfortable around each other. So so so so sweet, my heart was full of love. The music at the end. MY HEART CANT TAKE THIS. I didn’t think I would enjoy this episode more than PickRome’s but it was very close to surpassing that one. 9.5/10

PeteKao
I have to admit me, a TayNew trash, wanted to watch this show because of PeteKao. The actors and the characters have the same kind of relationship which I find very amusing. I was sad that we didn’t get to see this couple at its full potential in Kiss Me Again. So I was so so so happy when they announced Our Skyy! Even if it’s only one episode, I thought it was better than anything else they’ve ever done. Honestly. This episode was hilarious. The dead body scene had me laughing out loud for a whole five minutes. Their acting has improved, their outstanding chemistry was still there, the PLOT WAS ACTUALLY GOOD AND ENTERTAINING !!!! Of course there was a fight because we can’t leave the makeup artist alone to rest a bit, right? But even that I thought was well done. And even though this couple is probably the most aggressive out of the five, we still got sweet scenes. The fact that Pete knew all along what Kao was doing and still carried that sweet tangerine tree or whatever that was around melted me inside. The whole hold-hands-every-hour was- I have no words. I love these boys so much and I’m so proud of them! Hopefully we’ll get them see together again in the future. 9.5/10

KongpobArthit (or KongArth? I don’t know their ship name, I’m sorry)

Now, this couple for me was the biggest surprise. I watched SOTUS but I haven’t finished the season season (it’s on my on-hold list) and I couldn’t understand why this is so many people’s favorite bl series and couple. I liked the story and I liked them but that was it. They did not blow my mind and I didn’t feel that attached to them.
After watching this, I finally got it. I totally get it why this couple gets all the hype. They are literally so perfect for each other that I can’t even (re)write this review without feeling like I’m going to cry. These characters are such amazing people and the actors are PHENOMENAL actors. The breakup scene blew my mind. It really did. And as I said previously, I did not feel attached to this couple at all. But throughout the episode they were so cute to each other and so couple-like that I ended up crying my eyes out whenever Arthit cried (Arthit crying in the bathroom so that Kongpob wouldn’t see him... HEARTBREAKING). The breakup scene was so well acted that I wondered if I wasn’t seeing a breakup in real life. Krist really did impress me with his acting skills. I already liked Singto a lot so this episode only made me love him. But for Krist... I don’t know why I didn’t really care for him. It’s not like I disliked him but I just didn’t notice how amazing he is as an actor. I will now quote my own tweet: “After watching our skyy I finally understood why everyone loves krist so much. I’m sorry it took me all this time to realize how precious he is. His little laugh is everything. His pure heart. His cute little mouth. Arthit’s love for Kongpob.” Yep, I’m proud of this tweet. Finally fell for these two boys. Their chemistry is just insane. So so so so glad I watched this. I loved this episode so much that I can’t even rate it 10/10. It’s 14/10!

Overall

The plot for each episode was on point. Which surprised me considering the mess GMMTV’s plot lines usually are. I adored every single one of them in their own way. The acting was the best part for me. You can tell they’re all close off-cameras because their chemistry was overwhelming. Honestly, I was not expecting the acting to be this good for some of them. Each couple has its own dynamic and they portrayed it very well. I think these special episodes were probably better than 99% of their scenes in their own series. I was not expecting to love every couple but I did. Oh well, watch me love these boys for the rest of my life.

Beware: If This Is Your Cup Of Tea, It Can Make Other Xianxia Dramas Pale In Comparison

This is the first time I'm writing a review here, so I'm just going to write down what I like about this based on years of being a drama watcher. For me, this is the BEST (comedy) xianxia I've ever seen.

The greatest things about this drama:

1. Perfect cast. Not just the four main leads, but the chemistry with the side characters are also excellent.
2. Great pacing. No skipping, no fast forwarding (like what usually happens with other xianxia dramas I've seen).
3. The writing gets me so hooked that I can forgive any plot holes.
4. Great OST songs.
5. The acting!!!!!
6. The way it enables me to root for SO many characters and couples. There are so many loveable characters, even the smaller side characters. I've never seen a drama where I'm missing these many smaller side characters when they haven't appeared in a while.
7. The comedy aspect in this drama is A LOOOOOTTTTT and the timing of the comedy is always perfect.
8. Tropes/cliches done right with lots of hint of comedy and very minimal repetitions. Even one of the most annoying tropes for me (spoiler: amnesia) is done in such a clever way that made me realize the importance of it for the story.
9. CGI is great, too.
10. Despite the many comedic scenes in this drama, it's peppered with beautiful life lessons, such as:

- Embracing your inner child or inner feelings instead of repressing them (this one is portrayed so beautifully that I'll probably remember it for the rest of my life)
- Sisterly love/bond that is just so beautiful and heartwarming
- Loyalty in love/friendship
- Setting boundaries: even parents can be wrong and they should be reminded about it (whether they accept the reminder or not is another thing, but I like the fact that the main characters don't act like doormats)
- That putting out fire is easier than putting out hatred

I was watching this drama ongoing with some other airing dramas and I must admit, the other dramas felt bland or less cohesive or the pacing felt unstable or slow. It will probably take me a while before I can let go of this high standard after watching this drama.

Each episode portrays a new insight to four different lives. A very inspirational drama to always follow your dreams and never give up despite how rubbish life may get.
The life choices each individual takes and how they overcome the aftermath and come out fighting. The concept is truly needed in the world even made that more relatable because they are based on real life stories are true life stories. For they provide comfort and reassurance to those that may find themselves in need of encouragement to ‘KEEP MOVING FORWARD’ because life does get better (it just takes a while sometimes).

Definitely A MUST WATCH DRAMA

"River of first love" is a slow and smooth film
It has the rythm of old film and the quality even aged a bit.
If you are looking for a crazy and passionate love, you will be deceive. This being said, what is so good about it?

The story is nothing extraordinary, but the way it is told is extraordinary. With a few words the emotions are shown. The young actors may be a bit ankward, but it fits their characters, and the result is really great. The whole context is depicted with simplicity and it just gives you that thought: " yes it is just perfect". When you realize it, you understand how great this film is.

It leaves you a feeling hard to describe:
Personnally I really have appreciated this film, because I found in it the same peace of heart that I found in some great japanese novels. If some of you are fan of japanese litterary, it should please you. " river of first love" have "that" justness, peaceful and beautiful poetry.

(I am not anglophone, so let me know it I am hard to understand...)

Pure Entertainment

To sum it up, this movie is pure entertainment. There are moments of comedy, there are tender moments, action, thriller, tense. This movie really does have it all. For a movie viewing I’d almost say it’s close to perfect to sit down and watch but the catch is you can’t be someone with a feint heart.

Hwayi has a pretty easy to follow synopsis as well as simple on the outside character motivations that have much more depth and layers to pick apart if you want. As someone who likes a lot of depth I found this really nice, and considering it’s a movie I liked how it was easy to follow and you don’t have to really pick apart the characters as you’re only with them for a few hours.

There’s a lot of important themes the movie has, the main takeaway I found was the importance of family structure. It’s fine that they are all fathers, what isn’t fine is what they teach their ‘son’.

Kidnapping a boy and nurturing him under their gang activities and eventually encouraging him to kill others for their benefit isn’t a plus. But their are a few moments of payoff, where you can tell that they really care for him despite. They don’t want Hwayi dead and it’s interesting to see their dynamic as this family play out. I really like how coming into the movie after the time skip you believe they’ve all lived together for the years and it’s natural but definitely not typical or healthy either.

Now I’m not going to go into depth for this movie because I don’t find the need to. It’s entertaining. It’s really entertaining. The acting is beyond impressive considering Yeo Jin-Goo was 16 years old when filming. He’s the best of the best and I don’t doubt this movie when I watch. There are never moments where I sit and think “oh these people are just acting”. It’s a fully immersive experience. The amount of gore is a lot more than expected, the kill count is also more than expected. It could be arguable that some of the kills and gore are just for fluff, but I see this as a movie and movies I watch to entertain myself so I don’t see that as a bad thing.

This movie really made my night and I recommend it. It’s really good and I wish I could say more, but all I can do is emphasize it’s strength. The acting is superior, the action is very impressive, the story is easy to follow. This movie is very very good.

BL stage play, a musical

Yes, this is a recording of a production of a live stage performance of this musical. It's done well, and professionally. I've been to plays, musicals, and opera, but I much prefer them live amd in person than watching a recording on TV. Just don't go into this thinking it will turn into a regular drama at some point. It is a musical stage performance with a live audience.

STORY: A standard BL story though it had an interesting sub plot about an older generation couple worrying about what the newer generation BL couples must suffer. I really felt for them amd what they went through, more than the young couple.

ACTING: All were good stage actors. I hope they have long and vibrant careers. Sam is HOT.

MUSIC: This is a musical, after all. I thought it was good. Some songs were hits and some were misses. It's a Tiawanese production in Mandarin, so thankful for the subtitles.

REWATCH VALUE: I gave it a go, but the format isn't my cup of tea.

OVERALL: It's much different than a regular BL. Maybe you'll dig it, maybe not. The older BL couple's storyline was more interesting than the younger. Tip: if you made it through part 1, the payoff in part 2 is worth it.

A beautiful healing story of kindred souls

This is the first drama or movie, in any language, that I started watching for the second time as soon as I finished it.

Normally I try to avoid dark, realistic, depressive story, especially ones with violence and infidelity. I started this months ago simply because of IU, who played Jang Man-Wol in Hotel del Luna. I couldn't get past half of the first episode, and switch to Crash Landing on You and It's OK to Not Be OK.

I continue My Mister and after the episode 4 I just couldn't stop. It made me cry, smile and laugh, both with compassion and happiness.

The production is great. PD really paid attention to every minute detail.

The Story is extraordinary, and like they said in the interview, it's not a love story, but a human story. It is anything but cliche.

All acting are excellent, from lead characters to all the supporting characters. The dynamic of three brothers, the similarity of lead characters and how they came to understood and healed each other as the story progress.

The visual effect is good, I like the makeups, costumes, and uses of traffic lights to indicate relationship status (not sure if that's intended).

OST are outstanding, particularly Adult (Grown Ups), Dear Moon, and An Ordinary Day. I don't understand Korean, so I have to get the translation and found the song "Dear Moon" so accurately describes Lee Ji-An's feeling for Park Dong Hoon.

The ending is very good. Yes it's an opening end which leaves the viewers to decide the real ending themselves.

Not overly impressed

Well I am sort of glad this drama has come to an end. it was neither good or bad, it was for me kind of immature and not what i was really expecting from it.

The dialog was cringe, there was no chemistry between the leads, and for me that was really putting off, was a high school principal encouraging this kind of behavior instead of setting an example etc ... So this is basically a pretty awful low quality drama in every way possible, that was not leave very much to remember about.

The friendship groups were for me a complete disaster how on earth are friends with someone , and not realize that they have been in a relationship for over 7 years , and too keep that a secret for so long as well is really surprising for me too.

Overall: I can't really recommend this. There's much better Thai BL these days, and tons of it.

This is without a doubt one of my all time favorites.
I am undoubtedly in love with Park Shin Hye so I was looking for more shows of hers to watch after finishing 'The Heirs' and 'Flower Boy Next Door', and that's when I stumbled upon this show.

A downfall to this show would be that (not spoiling) the backstory of Choi Dal Po is explained in a sort of complex and confusing way throughout the show, but at the same time I wouldn't really even call it a downfall because the way it was executed really left me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on before the episodes revealed it.

I'm a sucker for soundtracks so I was pretty bummed when the one for this drama wasn't memorable, but none the less the show is pretty spectacular.

I would also like to touch on Choi Dal Po's haircut for the entire beginning of the show because what the hell was that? Seriously it was funny, but why... just why.

I know I've just commented on all of the things wrong with this show, but as you can see from my ratings I'm pretty much in love with this show and I still think that the mains have pretty much perfect chemistry. Each character has their own backstory drama, so it was really fun to watch the back stories unfold and to begin to understand each character more and more as the show progressed. There were definitely a lot of revelations that left me gasping and pausing the episodes to rethink my life. The acting overall great as well, I definitely searched for most of the actors in this show after finishing it.

I recommend this show to literally everyone- especially those who like dramatic and suspenseful dramas.

Worth it

I had many false starts on this drama....I had to rewatch the first two episodes more than a couple times because I was distracted by other dramas I'd been waiting on for years (The pillow book.) The beginning of this drama felt a little dry to me, but once I sat down and decided I would watch no matter what....I was glad I did.

Our heroine was super annoying at first...a real spoiled brat, but she grows over time into a genuinely admirable character.

The ML is stoic, mysterious, and dull, but he also grows over time through his interactions with the FL.

My one qualm is that the FL looked and felt like she was 12yrs old up until the time she was sent to Xirong.

The acting of the other characters in Xirong was not great... sometimes laughable, but the FL and ML were decent enough that they carried the plot.

Spoiler.... characters and ships that you love are going to drop and die like it's a GOT spin off.... there are no happy endings even for the one ship that does sail.

The ending itself is very confusing. I was forced to search online until I discovered the movie which continues the story of our FL and ML... so technically there's a happy ending...I guess.

The story itself drew me in. Once I got passed the first 5-7 episodes, I was hooked. WARNING: Our FL suffers ALOT. I would almost compare her suffering to Qian qian in 10MoPB.

She stays courageous and strong throughout. I found myself admiring her ability to fool her enemies while plotting their death.

I would recommend this to anyone.... if you're looking for the happy ending, the movie has the ending you're looking for :-D

some type of way

So as a hardcore Gong Yoo fan, if it's got him in it, I'm always willing to watch. I didn't read the description and went into this movie blind, not knowing what the plot was and I gotta say... I'm feeling some type of way for obvious reasons.lol If you're looking for some fluffy sweet romance TURN BACK! You won't find that here. If you're down for some infidelity you're in the right spot. I enjoyed the story/plot over all but the ending had me with some "What in the Fresh Hell is this?!" feelings. This is a movie that gives a very accurate dark and light depiction of what you're willing to do to help your family and also what you're willing to do for your own personal/selfish desires(whether it's healing or hurting). Not my style of movie so my re-watch value is slim, I legit only watched it for Gong Yoo and I was NOT disappointed.

Brother and sister

Brother and sister
Ask me to like Lusi's acting better, i liked the love of brother and sister very much.
Nowadays you do not get to see brother's sister's love understanding between the two.
I liked the love that you told in it, I should get everything, but it is not available in real life.

Hello and welcome to one of the most unique/ known plots you'll see. As in it doesn't follow all things we usually get to see, yet it gives us a few things we do know.

Actors= LOVE
Acting= AWESOME
Music= Very Suitable
Relationships= Well Thought out, Deep, Trust, Believing, Bromance Galore, No Unnecessary Sidesteps (Just misplaced good intentions)
Plot= Great.
Character Development= It happened. Slowly, but surely... not for all, because some people were already well thought out adults with their personalities already settled (Appreciate that in a lot of the supporting characters). Though most people grew into clearer versions of themselves.

There were a great too many flashbacks. Now we all know flashbacks aren't bad. They give us more information, a new perspective on an old scene or even why things are the way they are in upcoming newer scenes. These flashbacks though... are everywhere. They're like internet pop ups. the first few were good for what I have above mentioned before. After the constant usage of the exact same flashbacks again and again, it just got really repetitive. Even with that I still greatly appreciated this drama. Now just saying for people who love to fully watch every scene in every episode... its actually okay to do so. I just sped up the speed for scenes where I knew I had seen the past scene(s) in flashbacks. It helped me through. I did however sometimes sit through the flashbacks of the early episodes in the concluding episodes. As it took me over 4 days to watch it... why not look at those scenes again. There are a few scenes in the beginning that although they begin the same you actually must watch in order to get the slight continuation. I have confidence and faith that you will figure it out. (You will get what I'm saying)

Alright then... our main couple is adorable. They aren't hating each other with burning passions nor are they suddenly magically head over heels in love in the first 4 episodes. Nan Qiao is a very dimensional character who doesn't follow cookie cutter personalities. She is very well thought out, intelligent, and very straightforward in her thoughts. I loved her. She's also very cute and lovable. Also just saying in the first episode especially she reminded me so much of Kim Go Eun (Drama: Goblin) Lovely Shi Yue. Where have you been all my life?! He isn't overbearing, chauvinistic, I'm right you're wrong, I'm way too smart for you. He's caring, intelligent but doesn't take himself for being more than Nan Qiao. He has a lot happen to him to turn him into the man he is when he meet's Nan Qiao.

Shi Yue and Nan Qiao give the audience beautiful expressions, gorgeous smiles + laughter, well thought out conversation, delicate tacit understandings, innovative flirting situations, uncommon dates. My love for this couple is immense and I felt fulfilled with their constant trust and faith. There's not a lot of will they won't they. Its more like when will they finally state the official lol

The secondary couples/ supporting characters are fantastic. Of course the best friends of our main leads get to go through some relationship journeys. (I won't specify, because half the fun is to figure it out for yourself)

Our main adversities and challenges presented themselves in the form of their solidifying their relationship with self obstructions, and then outside interference (2nd Female looking at you) The level of that meddling was just other level that I don't get to see in many modern day Chinese dramas. More so Korean DAILY or Korean exaggerated dramas.

Drones were a unique aspect that I wasn't expecting. Yeah I read the summary, and the fact that I saw drones there was a big factor in why I chose to watch it. The revenge that we are promised in that summary isn't fully the way it went down, but it did still play a part through the entirety of the drama. Its not just used loosely than suddenly they found a new path to lead the drama. It was well paced aside from one of my only complaints which is yes the constant overuse of flashbacks. I did like certain ones as I mentioned before. I was talking this out with another drama viewer and we came to the conclusion that: The drama aired everyday. Some people can't watch everyday. Thus so people still knew what was going on they could tune in whichever day and still get the flashbacks they need. Plus just some recap reviews of previous times. When I thought of it that way I just accepted, and appreciated the flashbacks. If I didn't marathon so well, and remember what I had seen previously... I would need those flashbacks.

Overall this drama was freaking ACES. Would highly recommend, and yes I will be re-watching it. Give it a shot. Very worth it.
