The Bride of the Water God, loosely base of the manhwa of the same name. I remember reading there will be a live action of this manhwa I have so ever admired due to the amazing artwork, but I have been distracted and thus forgot about it.

I love watch Live actions of manga's or manhwa's I have read to compare the two. Although, this time it might be a bit of a challenge, because I have yet to finish reading the manhwa and it was a long time I go that I read it. Yet I still had high expectations because it is suched a loved Manhwa...

With this version I was intrigued to see how they would set it in modern Korea... For the drama, the setting worked out well, even the outfits that Habaek wore suited him well (well he is a God, he would look amazing in anything... including shirtless, which happens a lot in this drama). Putting the fan service aside, I felt the main actor was chosen well in my opinion. Although, I loved the God side more than the Human side. The clothes and hairstyles look sooooo sexy!

I remember in the manhwa that it was set more in the realm of the Gods, but in the drama, its the opposite, this was a little disappointing. I would have loved to have seen many different costumes, but I guess they were on a budget and would not have been able to afford it all *Internally cries*. It would have been nice to see more of an artistic style of clothing that fashionable. But that is my own personal opinion, especially as a huge fan of the original art work.

Through the drama, there was moments where I felt things really worked and things didn't. The romance between Sooya and Habaek... I am torn between it working and not working. I understand that Habaek is still plagued by his past love Nakbin, I felt that Habaek needed to show more conflicting emotions about what he should do but Habaek and Sooya's really, really, intense kiss (probably the longest kissing scene I have seen in Kdrama) was what I was waiting for, yet, was it really needed to be that long? was that all there would be?

I loved the drama and there was so much to follow, but maybe it was a little too hectic at times. They did introduce the other characters well, and although, it might have been only a slight touch of their stories and connection, it felt like it worked. Any more and it would have been confusing for those watching or it would have been longer than only 16 episodes, which I would not have minded.

This is probably one of the first drama's where I didn't hate the supporting cast, they were really well chosen, I am not just saying that I am an f(x) fan, but Krystal played Mu-ra really well. I am sure she loved wearing all the dresses too. Also Gong Myung played his character really and also added to the fan service moments in many episodes. It was definitely a great cast.

Overall, if you bare in mind, that live action dramas mostly don't stick to the manhwa/manga's, then its still great to watch. I really enjoyed watching it but now I want to re-read the manhwa to remind myself of why the love story between a God and Human interested me so much at first. Maybe its because its a fairy-tale, one that will never exist in real life, but the fleeting dream is one that I can still admire as only a dream. Well we want to escape from reality at some point in time, why not image a totally attractive God will sweep you off your feet?!

I really enjoyed this drama. There are plenty of scenes with both leads together and the story line is not too bad. What also helped me to finish the drama too is because I really like the cast for both lead roles - therefore, my bias may play a part in my review for this drama. Overall, I enjoyed the drama up until the last 10 episodes (in which I was not able to find English subtitles and skim through the episodes instead) because it just got tiring and boring to watch the repetitive bickering between both leads. The ending was a big disappointment for me but I will still recommend giving this drama a watch.

I'm probably in the minority with my rating since I saw a lot of people complain about the story. So, let me explain why I gave 8 points despite the drama's striking flaws.

First thing I imagine when I read the title, is something flashy, magical and colorful. "A Korean Odyssey" definitely scores a hit in that category. Bright colors and places that make the world our characters are living in seem a little extraordinary. On the other hand (and my personal complaints) is the way those elements were executed. You might disagree with me and say that if the story itself is good, one can overlook failed CGI effects. Well, for me it's a really important factor because well done special effects can lift the quality and increase the impact of a certain moment a lot. You can probably imagine how I had to cringe whenever such a scene occurred - most of all in the finale.

Despite that though! When it came down to the really important things which involved feelings, difficult decisions, realizations etc, you can say that the job was done neatly. They were even able to offer some killer minutes of emotional torture.

Looking at the story, yes, the first half didn't feel like having a clear structure or a straight path to follow. It seemed uneven and tortuous. The second half though was more focused on progressing the actual story and preparing for the finale. As you can see, I liked the plot. The cast was great and fun to watch. Lee Seung Gi had great chemistry with all his co-actors, esp with Chae Seung Won (it's a matter of fact that these two are a match made in heaven - literally) and Oh Yeon Seo. I was worried about some awkward kisses between them and they were indeed a little coy at first, but in the end they did really, REALLY well.

What else to like... I became a big fan of the supporting roles in this drama and the one who needs to be mentioned so much is Lee Se Young. In "The Best Hit" she didn't leave a lasting impression, rather the opposite. That's why I was even more surprised when I finally spotted her in this. Yes, it took me a while to even recognize her and if you haven't watched the drama yet, you will get what I'm talking about right then. Let me applaud to that girl, she was a real bombshell.

My second favorite was/were Fairy Ha and Winter General. Two characters, two genders but one actor. Sung Hyuk was incredible. He pulled off these two totally different and yet so similar personalities, made both appear with their own aura and was able to touch my heart with their story.

Lee Hong Ki aka PK. I enjoyed his character the more I saw of him. Just like all the other heavenly creatures he was flawed, self-centered and never left out an advantageous opportunity (even though he was interrupted most times). But he had his heart in the right place and defended that one friend he got impulsively - although not always with the most clever methods.

My happiest moments while watching "Hwayugi" were whenever I noticed certain elements of other mangas. Yes, you did read right. It doesn't sound nice, I know. But believe me, it's not meant in a bad way. It's exactly the opposite because there were so many different things packed in this one drama, that they became a sweet additional ingredient. Some examples are Inuyusha, Kamisama Hajimemashita, Sailor Moon and Naruto. Feel free to search for other ones. It's definitely a fun side game.

I mentioned "striking flaws" earlier and I already noted the most annoying things for me. If I were to add one more thing it would be the music. Don't get me wrong, the songs were a beautiful mood supporter. But whenever they changed scenes, they cut off the tune so brutally, that they ruined my special moments and gave me a hard time getting into the new scene.

This being said... I don't know about others (although I saw that not everyone was satisfied and expectations were shattered cruelly), I for myself had a great time watching "A Korean Odyssey". I was not able to overlook its blunders, but they were not overwhelming enough either and didn't diminish my enjoyment. Call it guilty pleasure or whatever. I had a great time.

WTD is about a witty and refreshing main lead, a selfish and self-centered lead, two people with serious communication issues, a no strings attached honest guy, a miserable girlfriend and some other people that are there for comedic relief.

The story behind WTD seems to go somewhere and then, well then it doesn't. I really adored like 20% of the scenes and the script and got bored by the rest but it's a nice inbetweener or when you have nothing else to watch and like BL.
The acting is better than in some other Thai BL dramas, I guess but except for some really good crying and shocked scenes it wasn't extraordinary.
The characters are well, interesting, I guess. I'm just gonna say two things: I loved the character of the main lead, Pop. He was witty and very different from what we BL fans usually get from the main leads in such shows. He did not fall head over heels in love but also didn't paralyze when he was asked if he liked guys. He seemed pretty normal and realistic tbh...except for the always there umbrella *wink*And my second point, I ended up hating the "good" guys and liking the "bad" guys, so what does that tell you about the characters?

The intro song got pretty annoying after some episodes although I could've listened to the ending song a lot more often.

Rewatch, some scenes yes, but the whole show, probably not anytime soon.

Overall, I recommend watching WTD if you are a BL fan, have nothing to watch or wanna be up to date with all the couple gossip, otherwise,if none of those apply to you, better watch something else...I liked the colours of the series though ^.^

This is one of the first times where I've watched a manga-show adaptation show, without reading the manga. Good Morning Call is a recipe filled with sweetness, a dash of humor, and some slight angst. It's basically the same recipe that I often see in these types of shows, but that doesn't make Good Morning Call any less lovable. I do recall reading the first few chapters of the manga, but from the beginning point, the drama moves slower and is stretched out in comparison. It's not a complete detail-for-detail adaptation but it's still enjoyable. The complexity of their relationship isn't new where it's a main lead chasing a cold, popular guy but thats the kind that's slightly addicting in my opinion. It's slightly leaned towards the cliche route but it's still a good watch. Even though you probably see a lot of these types of dramas, Good Morning Call is one that'll be the reason why you keep watching them.

A simple and cute story, if you are looking for a complex story this is not the right movie, but if you are tired of a huge drama and tragedy this is the right movie to see if you want a light story.
Just as the simple story, the acting is not anything mind blowing, but the actors really fit well is the romance and funny situations. Also Yang Mi and Li Yi Feng appeared together in Swords of Legends and it´s great to see them together again.
I also never get tired of the Li Yi Feng song Please contact me

This is such a beautiful and cute movie, I have watched this like 6 times and never get bored about this story even it´s basically some cliches that were all put together.
It´s at the same time lovely, funny, and tear jearking. And I totally love this kind of movies that make me feel so many things. The main actors really suit each other and their relationships is constructed in a natural way so you can get excited about their growing relationship.
Concerning to the music I discovered this movie because of Hebe Tian´s song and it´s a great song
Totally a must watch

Honestly I just watched this because it has Cha Eun Woo and food! It's very light and super cute. Great for those nights where you're just looking for something short and sweet.

The leads were cute as kittens and it really just made me smile for the majority. Though it did make me wish it was a little bit longer but that always happens with web dramas.

The OST has introduced me to ASTRO and I will save this drama for one of those times I need something short, sweet and cute to watch.

I personally enjoyed this show very much. Yes, it's quite dated and the story may not be very original nor does it draw your attention immediately. You get to see how news casting works behind the scene, which is quite interesting.

The acting and chemistry of the cast are what sells the show in my opinion.
The main character Aso is quite likeable, though she could be irritating at times. She's headstrong, independent and stubborn. But given how harsh the world of media and how fierce the competition is, especially for women, it's not surprising that she needs to be like that. Suzuki is very charming and she got all the emotions right. Even when Aso was wrong or irritating, you cannot help but sympathize with her.
Takki was very young, but he was natural and did well among all the veteran actors (it's probably his acting in this drama that got him cast in his break-through role in Majou no Jouken). Ryu is similar to Aso in a lot of ways, though both deny it every time Kubota points it out. He is stubborn, not very social, but smart and perceptive. I've always thought that Takki's best feature are his eyes, he can tell a lot through his eyes and thus roles like this where he doesn't have many lines but has to act with his eyes and body language are best suited for him.
Nagatsuka is wonderful as Kubota who adds some comedy to the mix. He talks fast and is good with household duties. And he also acts as the buffer zone between Ryu and Aso.

The music is nothing special, it fit the mood, but nothing particularly stands out.

As Aso's character is the focus in the show, we don't get to see much of Ryuu's school life and Kubota is somehow reduced to the comedic relief character which are the weak points of the drama. Also, I wish they would explain why Ryuu once attempted suicide. Kubota mentioned it, hence that was the reason why he felt Ryuu should move in with Aso to have someone looking after him. The ending felt a bit weak too, but otherwise I don't have much to complain about.

I have to point out that Kubota isn't the love interest of Aso, like it's described in this synopsis. He does develop some romantic feelings for Aso, same with her working partner Akiyoshi, but that's it. The drama doesn't go further than that since it's clear that Aso still has feelings for her late husband and isn't interested in any romantic relationships.

All in all, it's a drama that you can watch when you want to have some good, fun time. There was no boring moment and I finished it in a day.

The first 5 episodes were boring and dragged on too long. After that they became not too bad but when Jieyou enters as a harem of Kum-mi, the plot starts to get repeatative and boring. It is always Wun-Kui trayying to save Jeiyou over and over again. The illogical reasonings and event of things gets into the story. Very typical story writter on imperial and historical drama. The scheme of things were similar and lack imagination. I have to start fast forwarding from episode 26 onwards and it started to get ridiculous. Overall, I rate it only a 5 as it really sits on the borderline from being a badly written story.

"Yada, close your eyes"....these words haunted me thru the drama and will egg me on to rewatch this drama soon again. Infact, I just finished it and wanna go back again.

This lakorn is very well made....it looks like a kdrama very pretty but has that thai chemistry in it.

The main lead pair -just incredible. Krit and Yada are so freakin awesome together....no real kisses but u dont even need them....these guys build chemistry just being in the same screen space. I love Ken since Sawan Biang and watched many more but this show is like his rebirth...he looks sooo freakin HOTT.... I love the female lead playing Yada too, watched Ngao Hua Jai before this so could really connect with her.

This show has everything and is well paced...so much happens in 14 episodes that u feel like u gotta rewatch it again to absorb it better.

Watch it if u like gr8 chemistry, bad heros, romance and strong women.... no rape in this drama and it still rocks the slap/kiss charts plus the behind the scenes at the end of each epi is so cute:)

I dont have much to say about this drama but this drama has their own charms. For me This drama has an usual fake-marriage story that makes this drama has their own charms. The development of each episodes were great. Its not dragging it keeps on their stats. There are a lot of plot-twist on each line, dialog and episode. I really love how well written the story was. Gakki acting was superb, she made the drama alive and more lovely. I like Hosino Gen character but at the same time i just got bored with his character. I dont much into ikemen actor but height differences between him and gakki were awkward to watch hahaThe supporting actors also carried the character really well. overall i like this drama.

I usually dislike long drama series. Mostly because i find long serial drama has too much plots and it felt dragging. However, this is not the case with this drama. Each plot has reasons and justify the progress to the end. This is the exact example of well written script.

This drama is exceptional with the push of the talented actors and actress as well. Hu Ge especially has been able to display Lin shu's passion to clear his family and army which is hidden behind his frail body. His tale is indeed sad but inspiring. He is an amazing person who is also recieved love the most from everyone around him. All of his followers follow him not because of fear, but love and loyalty. He is an unforgetable character and has become one of my most fav too.

Another thing that I love is the fact that the story highlight the importance of loyalty, family love and amazing display strategies.
This drama is a total must watch.

That’s my first review , I hope you find it helpful. I tried my best.
The drama is so good .
Kim Joo Hyuk‘s character (kim beak jin ) was an anchor who only tells the truth and because of that they changed his position form nine news to midnight news . Argon team is the most heated team in the news station . They asked for some new staff so they brought them Chun Woo Hee’s character(lee yeon hwa). She only had three months left for her contract to end and she wasn’t qualified .The team was so upset and gave her a hard time at first. Her dream was to write her first report.
The first episode was how to make Pinocchio drama in one episode :D .
A Building was collapsed so to covered it up they made another news about a worker run away from the scene . The other news channel and 9 news in the same channel left the collapsed building news and only focused on the running away man.
Arogan team didn’t do that . They continue the investigation and found out the truth . The truth was related to some politicians and businessmen so the news station tried to make the team stop . Lee yeon hwa found out a new lead and told kim beak jin . He gave her first assignment to find out more info and keep it for the others . She started to become more confident and working so hard to make her dream true. (That’s the main topic). There are other news and you will find out more about the characters in each episode . The drama is so interesting . I love The teamwork here . I wanted more episodes . :((
This drama makes me sad thinking about kim Joo Hyuk . It was his last drama :( . He made his best till the end . RIP :(
I hope you found my review helpful cause it’s been a while since I saw it .
If you have any problems with this review tell me .
I hope you have a nice time watching it .

If I were to compare Anthology to something, it would be a daydream - fleeting and brief, but something you like to return to again and again, if only for the feelings it brings you. It's a one-episode drama, so I honestly didn't know what to expect but I knew not to set my expectations high. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by how it all turned out, even if there are points I would've liked to explore more. One is also a passable actor in this, even if I found his earlier scenes a bit awkward - he gets better as the hour passes. Shin Eunsoo plays a similar character to her previous work, Vanishing Time, wherein she wasn't quite endearing but had her reasons.

Overall, while Anthology didn't have much room to work with, only having over an hour, I thought it did quite well in evoking what it feels like to have a first love and managed to bring the fluff. Definitely watch if you'd like a quick break and first love stories.
