It is that time of the year again. Keeping with MDL tradition, we present to you the 2024 MDL Watch Challenge! Whether you want to challenge yourself, diversify your watchlist, or just join the fun, this challenge is open for all.
To join in the fun, you must READ and FOLLOW these STEPS and instructions. They may sound tricky at first, but we are sure you will get the hang of it, and we are HERE to guide you!
This Challenge starts on January 1, 2024 and ends December 31, 2024!
You may join the challenge any time during the year 2024—be it January, February, May or December.
The last day for submissions is January 3, 2025, but no matter when you join the challenge, all titles must have been watched between January 1 and December 31, 2024.

And they must fit what the description of the prompt in front of them.

2. Watch titles (dramas, movies, specials, tv shows) that match the prompt of your choice from any of the blocks within the challenge.

Scenario: By December 31, 2024, you may have seen Imawa no Kuni no Alice in its entirety 10 times: 5 times in 2023 and 5 times in 2024. You may only use it once for any given year’s challenge (so if you used it in 2023, you can still use it in 2024, but only for one prompt). There are 132 prompts in this challenge divided into 26 blocks - each containing 5 prompts/titles (with the exception of the Countries of MDL block, which contains 7 prompts/titles). Either watch first and then find the prompt or find a prompt and then watch a title that fits that prompt. Just make sure you watch the whole title between January 1st 2024 and December 31st, 2024. | |

This challenge is a circuit and is never-ending (unless you watch every title ever added to the MDL website!). Once you have watched 3 titles for every block, you start over with a noter round, read more about that below. | |
Seasonal blocks are groups of five blocks, the division is there to make it easier to navigate and is used for bonus features, you may ignore this if you want to keep to the basics. 
Leap flowers are bonus features such as short cuts, extra rounds and extra difficulties that can earn you extra badges and may give you butterflies. 5. Feel free to choose a Banner or Badge to add to your profile or create your own!
Those who turn in their challenge here by January 3, 2025, will have their form added to the Hall of Fame.
The hall of fame shows Levels and Rounds - Flowers and Butterflies.
We do not check all your challenge entries, but the community will and will let us know if your choices did not qualify. We cannot watch every title everyone chooses.
